Everything you need to know before joining a Heartja workshop.
We can't wait to welcome your little designer to Heartja! Here's everything you need to know to make their creative adventure happy, safe and wonderfully messy.
AGES & GROUP SIZES
Our workshops are designed for children aged 5–8 years, with a maximum of 6 children per session. Keeping our groups small means everyone has room to create, explore and receive individual attention.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
Heartja workshops are drop-off sessions, just for kids!
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the workshop begins and collect your child promptly at the scheduled finishing time.
Children must be dropped off and collected by a parent, guardian or an authorised adult. If someone different will be collecting your child, please let us know in advance.
LOCATION
For now, Heartja workshops take place around our creative kitchen table in De Baarsjes, Amsterdam West, while we dream up a studio of our own!
The exact address and arrival instructions will be shared with you after booking.
WHAT TO BRING
Just your imagination!
All creative materials and equipment are included in the workshop price. We recommend comfortable clothes that can get a little messy — creativity doesn't always stay inside the lines!
Please bring a labelled water bottle.
ALLERGIES & ADDITIONAL NEEDS
Every little designer is different, and we want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome.
Please let us know about any allergies, medical considerations or additional support needs when booking so we can discuss how best to support your child.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We love celebrating children's creativity!
During workshops, we may take photographs of the creative process and finished projects to share on Heartja's website or social media.
We will only use identifiable photographs of your child for promotional purposes with your permission. You can choose yes or no when booking, and either answer is absolutely fine.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
We understand that plans can change!
7 days or more before the workshop: Full refund.
Less than 7 days before the workshop: A refund will be offered if we're able to fill your child's place.
If Heartja cancels a workshop: You'll receive a full refund.
If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Children are supervised throughout the workshop, and activities and materials are selected with their age group in mind.
If your child is unwell or has a contagious illness, please keep them home and contact us.
For everyone's safety, we ask children to follow simple studio guidelines, treat one another kindly and use materials responsibly.
BOOKING & CONFIRMATION
Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Your child's place is confirmed once payment has been successfully completed and you have received your booking confirmation.
